The following text in quotations is from one of a handful of websites that are trying to pass off
Tenebrio molitor (the common standard mealworm) as Tenebrio obscurus (our Minimealworms):
This is INCORRECT! Nothing could be further from the facts about our worms:
- Our Minimealworms are a 'cousin' of the common standard mealworm, being a sub-species of the Tenebrio Family.
- Our Minimealworms will not grow larger, but standard mealworms will.
- Our Minimealworms are HIGHLY ACTIVE, unlike the standard mealworm.
- Our Minimealworms are raised in completely different conditions than the standard mealworm.
- Even the care and storage of our Minimealworms differs from the common standard mealworm care requirements.

Tenebrio molitor (small size common standard mealworms) -
There really IS a difference... Make sure you get what you pay for.
The majority of our packaging & shipping materials are recycled or are made from recycled materials.
Everything can then be recycled by the consumer.
